A common
task in Excel is to convert formula entries into their actual values -
usually acheived by copying the data, and pasting the data over itself
using Paste-Special, Values.
This process is especially
useful when you have dynamic values (in the sense that they are formula
entries which could change at any time, and you want them fixed), or
entires looked up from other spreadsheets which may not be available
later, and you want the values fixed as they currently stand forever.
